Bug 448909 introduced/altered video tag controls for FF's *stripe theme which automatically applies to SM's Classic theme. The Modern theme needs those modifications ported and maybe adapted to match its look and feel.

Jens, do you have edit bugs? If so you can open a bug as NEW instead of UNCONFIRMED.

I could have used an image for the "scrubber" but I thought a CSS border would give me a neater effect.

http://tinyvid.tv/ has a number of pages with HTML5 <video>s that should show those controls, e.g. http://tinyvid.tv/show/poccc4v9bc1l
