I am using thunderbird everyday and is great and powerful software. But what is missing is "owen" tray icon directly implemented in thunderbird. I am using in 2 version the addon for this behaviour. But I think that much more better for everybody is implement this future in the TB directly. Because only you can nicely handle all behaviors and maybe the addon will not for some time work with new 3 version and it will be not good. I think that this tray icon is only one thing which is (for somebody who dont know the addon) dissuade. Because I think TB is only one which doesnt have it in the core. Please add this future to version 3. It is email client and TB can automaticaly check for emails, so why to dont have him in tray? Thank you.
