Shortly, I´m forced to pass by (a sort of fire wall but more like a filter) a squid cachins proxy server whatever it means and I can´t find this configuration anywhere... If you argument is: It is supposed to be a portable version I say Opera portable does have this option. I think this is nt a bug but serious absence. Thanks for adding it at leat into the final release I´d relly like to try your product...

generally speaking, proxy setting are usually global system settings on mobile device (as so in the desktop) - all apps will share the same values - and it is not different in maemo. 

Proxy values are available to applications through GConf, which seems to be disabled in fennec builds currently, I believe (either toolkit/system/gnome/GConfService or extensions/pref/system-pref/src/gconf/) - gotta check this.

Anyways, as the device does have a proper mechanism for proxy settings (Advanced setting in ConnectionManager application), fennec probably won't have a UI specific for that, so lets keep bug count minimalistic: marking it dup of bug 458211.
