Now that we can have keywords for search plugins, it would make sense to change the behavior of "Add a keyword for this search".
Instead of adding a bookmark with a keyword (which led to problems like Bug 435954, Bug 298697, or Bug 253457, and didn't add the search to the search bar), it could make use of Open Search plugins:
- it could check whether the current site offers a search plugin itself
- provide a way to search for existing plugins for the current site at AMO/Mycroft
- generate a custom Open Search plugin (Bug 261124)
...and open a dialog to set a keyword for the new search plugin.
Reproducible: Always

Ryan, is it something we ever can fulfill? Sounds like a complex action.

Bug 261124 has a patch that adds this menu item - any such patch would have to sort out how it interacts with search keywords, so I'm just going to dupe that over.
