Hier finde ich "which promote the adoption of Mozilla products and technologies in these regions." mit "Lokalisierung" zu lasch umschrieben.

The Internet as a Public Good“... "Sponsoring" statt "Sonsoring" - hat XtC4UaLL schon angemerkt. >* Ein Firefox Add-on entwickeln Müsste eigentlich "Firefox-Add-on" geschrieben werden mit Bindestrich - oder besser "Add-on für Firefox" >* Fehler dokumentieren – viele Mitglieder schicken den Entwicklern hilfreiche Daten, wenn eine Mozilla-Applikation abstürzt. "Mozilla-Anwendung" statt "Mozilla-Applikation"? >* Geld spenden – an die gemeinnützige Mozilla Fundation. "Mozilla Foundation" statt "Mozilla Fundation" >Die Mozilla Foundation ..., die das Mozilla-Projekt sponsort ... "fördert"/"finanziert" statt "sponsort"? Klingt so Neusprech ... äh, Neudeutsch ;-)

(In reply to comment #10) > >Die Mozilla Foundation ..., die das Mozilla-Projekt sponsort ... > > "fördert"/"finanziert" statt "sponsort"? Klingt so Neusprech ...

Danke an Alle!

Attached is a low-resolution version of the German Mozilla brochure that is available for proofing. Please send any feedback and we can ask the designer to make changes if needed. If everything looks good, we can get a high-resolution version from her and then post this on www.mozilla.org.

Hmm... First page: Second column, last paragraph: I think that should be "Und wieder andere" instead of "Und wieder Andere" in the last sentence. Third column, at the top: Something is missing, the sentence looks like it's cut in the middle. ("Mozillas Programme haben sich mittlerweile im internationalen") Second page looks OK to me.

Why is "Internet by the people for the people" at the first page not translated in "Internet von Menschen für Menschen" (or whatever)? "Eine Gemeinschaft, eine Technologie, eine Organisation" at the second page is translated.

(In reply to comment #32) > Why is "Internet by the people for the people" at the first page not translated > in "Internet von Menschen für Menschen" (or whatever)? "Eine Gemeinschaft, eine > Technologie, eine Organisation" at the second page is translated. It has been translated. So no idea why it's English in the heading of the proof. It's in German with small letters by listing the photographers on the 1st page. So probably it was wrongly pasted. Some more things (probably to discuss): - 1st page, second paragraph: "Anwend- ungen". The hyphen should be before the 'd' => "Anwen- dungen". - 1st page, second paragraph: "von Tausenden Mitgliedern" => "von tausenden Mitgliedern"? Same applies to the 2nd page, 2nd col: " Mehr als Tausend Mitwirkende" - 2nd page, 3rd row: "en- twickelt" => "ent- wickelt" - 2nd page, 3rd row: "Internetund Kommunikationstechnologien" => missing space before "und" - 2nd page, 4th row: why there is a box around the Camino logo? Kadir, can you please give a comment to the above mentioned points?

Hi Henrik, I'm afraid I dont work with David on these brochures in terms on getting the text into the leaflet. In terms of the last comment from you on Dec 22nd, has Kadir reviewed? Do these changes need to be incorporated into the attached document from Dec 15th?
Reporter | ||
Comment 36•16 years ago
|

I don't think that it is needed to be reviewed by Kadir. These are simple issues which probably raised while moving the content into the design layout. So mostly I don't think that the doc has to be updated. It has to be updated in the final document.

To be honest, I'm not too happy with the general tone of the translation (Why is the addressing impersonal in German when the orginal says "we") and a lot of specific things (Mozilla mission is not limited to browsers). Would someone be willing to compare the whole document with the original and try to adjust the translation?
