User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_2; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1 Safari/525.13 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1b2pre) Gecko/20081029 Shredder/3.0b1pre Now Thunderbird has a Unified Toolbar, it changes colour when the window loses focus. Thunderbird's statusbar however, doesn't. Mac Firefox's statusbar does change colour, so somewhere there is code out there to do it, I presume. Both the main mail window and write mail window exhibit this behaviour. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Focus Thunderbird window. Statusbar is dark grey, same as toolbar. 2. Change focus to other app. (say...Finder) 3. Look at Tunderbird window(s). Statusbar is still dark grey, toolbar has gone light. Expected Results: Expect statusbar to "go light", just like toolbar. Default Thunderbird Theme in use.
Summary: [UI] Statusbar colour doesn't change on window focus → [UI] Statusbar should be Unified

I'm not sure I understand your question. Fixing this might need to be done in the CSS, or it might also possibly need XUL or JS changes, I'm not sure without further investigation. Kreeger might know, though...
Seems to be fixed from (Gecko/20090404) Shredder/3.0b3pre on...good!
