I have a number of folders in my bookmarks toolbar. When i've dragged a link from one folder to another, the receiving folder then has a blue box around it when i get it to drop down. This will stay between sessions but sometimes be removed if i drag another link, but that invariably creates a new blue box around another folder. The blue box is slightly wider than the normal width so causes the links in the toolbar to 'jump' around to accommodate it.
The blue box appears as a squared indentation.
The box first appears when a link is held over the folder icon to get it to drop down, and then sticks when the link is put in a specific position in the new folder.
It seems that dragging a link from the offending folder and dropping it on the same folder icon (without choosing a position) solves the problem.
I'm still using the default skin.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have two or more folders with links in them
2. Drag a link from one folder to another
3. When the folder is next selected, the blue box appears
Actual Results:
a weird blue indentation box appears around the folder when it's selected
Expected Results:
The box should not have remained, it should have behaved as folder normally do.
None, still using the default theme.

A folder has normally a blue selection color on dragover but should disappear when you mouse leaves the area. I am not able to reproduce the problem (that selection remains) on Windows XP with latest trunk.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".
In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.
Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
