Steps:
 Open kernel.org and try to download any kernel tarball.

Result:
  New XUL window opened when download initialized...

Expected:
  Download's should be visible only in fennec download manger UI.

Attached patch patch — — Splinter Review 
simple preference tweak to not show the DM UI when starting a download. Also removed a deprecated pref.
