User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008101315 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.3 Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.17 (20080925) If a mail is base64 coded (Content-Transfer-Encoding: BASE64 => this mail is in fact a big block of Base64 chars), and is stored on a server (imap) search function can find mails that match body search rule. If this mail is copied to the local folder, and you do the same search query (but now on local) it miss to find mails. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. receive a base64 content coded mail, leave it on an imap server 2. do a body search query => it works 3. copy this mail localy 4. repeat step 3 localy => it fails Actual Results: Failing to find mail Expected Results: Find the mail Works on linux and windows
This has been fixed as of Thunderbird 3 alpha 1.
