If the user tries to create a new folder, and changes the parent folder in the folder picker, we ignore the new parent. Patch upcoming.

The moral of the story is - ignore Neil's comments at your peril :-) luckily, I remembered his comment so the fix was easy.

no, unrelated, I think.
jminta is right; I accidentally included the fix for bug 467732 in the patch I generated for this bug; the fixes are unrelated, but they're both in the diff.
this is what I'll check in...
