We need a few strings to be translated into all the languages Firefox 2 exists
in. These strings will be used in the XUL box that will be used to
warn Firefox 2 users that their product is obsolete and that they should upgrade to Firefox 3.

We should push this major update early January.

Here is a screenshot of what it looks like for Firefox:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=328969
(the text in this picture is the old version)

Here is the page on the staging server (access with your LDAP account):
https://en-gb.www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-GB/firefox/3.0/details/

This reference file is the one in the URL field of this bug.

You can either update the file in SVN, in this case put the revision number of
your translation in the comments of this bug, or you can translate the file and
attach it to this bug and I will commit it for you.

For Hebrew and Arabic, don't forget to change the value of the dir="ltr" attribute to dir="rtl"

The locales affected are:

af ar be bg ca cs da de el en-GB es-AR es-ES eu fa fi fr fy-NL ga-IE gu-IN he
hu it ja ka ko ku lt lv mk ml mn nb-NO ne-NP nl nn-NO pa-IN pl pt-BR pt-PT ro
ru sk sl sq sr sv-SE tr uk zh-CN zh-TW

As usual, save your file in UTF-8 in a text editor and when attaching files to this bug, indicate that they have a text/plain Mime type.

Thanks!
(rectification, sr and sq locales are not concerned)
Question: can I commit my translation to SVN right now, or should I wait?

Can we check somehow the aspect of this window before going public? For example I don't know if our title can fit in two rows and what happens if there's a third row.

Rimas, you can commit on mozilla.com repository
>Can we check somehow the aspect of this window before going public? For example
I don't know if our title can fit in two rows and what happens if there's a
third row.

There is no really realiable way for now, I will publish a testing page using an iframe roughtly simulating the size of the xul window next week. When there is not enough space, scroll bars appear.
done for sk, rev. 21011

r21163 - New revision, in order to avoid overlapping the logo. If you have another solution, please let me know.
For pl, committed revision 21162.

Pascal, can I remove the word "Firefox" from the translation of "Firefox Security Alert"? With it, the pl translation takes up 3 lines and doesn't look good...
Committed revision 21162 for pl, per IRC discussion with Pascal.
