The SSL expert mode is there to minimize the amount of clicks it takes to add an exception without making it a click-through process. It's always good to know what the actual SSL error is before adding an exception so without this fix one has to do an extra click to expand the technical details.
Patch coming up.

As I remeber correctly, this is done with main cert error port bug. I ported test for that bug too.
