This is a tracking bug for the translation of Mozilla Europe privacy policy located at http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/about/privacy/
The translation will be done by Mozilla Europe localization team but any help is of course welcome.
The reference version is:
http://viewvc.svn.mozilla.org/vc/projects/mozilla-europe.org/trunk/en/about/privacy/index.html?revision=21297&content-type=text%2Fplain
This is the privacy policy as written for Mozilla Europe in 'December 2008' (rev 21297 on SVN).

Wait, we just consolidated the privacy policies between mozilla.org and mozilla.com... do we really need yet another privacy policy for mozilla-europe.org?

Yes, it's a legal requirement in Europe and the text is different to accomodate European laws.

<p>Mozilla will use the web analytics data only to determine aggregate usage patterns for our Web sites as described above. The Mozilla Web sites do this by using either its own internal analytics software or by sending this information to a third-party service provider to help Mozilla analyze this data and the Mozilla Web sites using third-party web analytics tools are listed here.
The "here" should be |<a href="http://www.mozilla.com/third-party.html">here</a>|.

edu, when your translation is reviewed and final, you can commit it to svn and send a message to the mailing list for publication.

Do we also need to translate the Mozilla pages the privacy policy links to?
<http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/legal/privacy/firefox-en.html>
<http://www.mozilla.com/third-party.html>
<http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/opt-out.html>

no, only Mozilla Europe privacy policy, not the pages it points to on other mozilla sites.

A few points about the document :
1 ."When you use visit the Mozilla web sites and use our services, you agree that:"
Shouldn't we have a comma after "use" (or a slash) or even loose "use" all in all in the "use visit..." part?
2."You can determine when this privacy policy was last revised by referring to the "Last Updated” legend at the top of this page."
Is that a reference to some kind of menu that we'll have on the top or what? it doesn't make sense in the page as it is now.
3. Personally, i believe that the opt-out page should be translated along with the policy. Is it ok if i provide a translation for the international site?

1: yes 'use' is redondant, we should drop it
2: it refers to the date 'December 2008' below the title
3: you can translate the page but it will be your responsability to keep it up to date on mozilla.com when the en-US version is modified because I don't intend to track changes an inform localizers when there are changes on this page

Thanks for clearing this up. I guess in that case we should add "Last updated: " before the date to make it clear for the users too.

Done for lt in r73313.
I deliberately changed occurences "privacy AT mozilla-europe DOT org" to an actual link. I believe this type of email obfuscation is long since became useless, and I assume we have spam filters anyway.
