The mail cannot be moved to a local folder (neither drag & drop nor by move from the menus). Sometimes, the mail appears in the destination folder, but is not deleted from the source folder.

Then, sometimes in the local destination folder selected mails appear empty (no content is shown, only the concern. Sometimes, when trying to open the destination folder it appears totally empty and an error message may appear the it is used by another activity.

In most caes, this can be "repaired" by restarting Shredder several times.

This error message was observed by test for Bug 471682 (See Bug 471682 Comment #12 and Bug 471682 Comment #15). Probably same problem as(or similar problem to) Bug 471682. See also DUP'd bug to Bug 471682 or pointed bugs in it.
I'm using Shredder [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090115 Shredder/3.0b2pre] and keep updating hoping this same problem that Helmut reported will go away. It does not.
I can't predict when it will happen, but 50% of the time I boot up and enter Shredder, either dragging or using the drop-down command to move an email from one folder or sub-folder to another will fail. It will happen if I do one at a time, or 'batch' a few.
Sometimes absolutely nothing happens. Other times the move will fail and I get an hourglass. It doesn't hang up the program--I can still visit other folders and read email.
The latest problem I've noticed is that after several attempts to move an email around, the email body disappeared. The header info was there, but I've entirely lost its contents.

I may have made a mistake signing up for the Shredder program (I didn't know what I was doing) because I'm not experienced enough to understand this "bug" system. It's much too technical for me.

Shall I go back to a non-beta Thunderbird and not have this problem anymore?
savvyvacuum, helmut, can you reproduce with Thunderbird nightly + no lightning ?

Hi,

It did not occur with the nightly builds any more since some weeks.
