User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008121622 Fedora/3.0.5-1.fc10 Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.8.1.18pre) Gecko/20081002 Calendar/0.9 When adding multiple ICS calendars files hosted on the same webserver using WebDAV and using a single username and password, and not using Password Manager, every other calendar requires authentication on start-up. I am entering the username and password in the location URI like so: http://username:password@myhost.com/test1.ics Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add multiple remote calendars hosted on the same server using the same username and password, e.g.: http://username:password@myhost.com/test1.ics http://username:password@myhost.com/test2.ics http://username:password@myhost.com/test3.ics http://username:password@myhost.com/test4.ics 2. Close Sunbird 3. Restart Sunbird 4. Click "Cancel" at each password authorization prompt Actual Results: In my example, which you can see from the linked image, out of 7 remote calendars, the 2nd, 4th, and 6th calendars prompted me for username and password (since I clicked "Cancel" at each prompt, the "calendar unavailable" icon appears next to each calendar). Expected Results: All calendars should have loaded without prompting for username and password.
Version: unspecified → Sunbird 0.9
Should be fixed when bug 550291 is done
Depends on: 550291
Is this really the case, or is this a duplicate of bug 247486?
This issue ought to be fixed with Bug 550291 according to Bug 550291 Comment 1. Could someone please retest with a recent nightly test builds of Lightning 1.0b2pre if the issue still exists?

Tested on Lightning 1.0b2pre and Thunderbird 3.1 with Davical server. Two calendars on the same host only generates one prompt and saves password against hostname in password manager. http://username:password@host/calendar also seems to work, although had to click reload remote calendars first. Will be doing further testing.
After further testing it seems that http://username:password@host/calendar only works sometimes, with many calendars loaded most of them trigger an authentication dialog. Using the authentication dialog doesn't work properly either as long as the username/password is in the url.
