Details

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090105 Shredder/3.0b2pre Bizarre behavior on a PDF attachment from a customer, this has happened on two different emails from this user. I don't know if other attachment types have this problem as this customer only sends PDFs, but the naming style is similar (maybe a problem handling the attachment characters, doesn't like "#" or "-"?). I receive an email containing a PDF attachment, here are the headers within the email (so you can tell from this, the full attachment/body _is_ being read by the mail client): ----------- --_004_9B189600E7E6AF4C9284C99BE15ED0A207532BAB87MailDatalinkn_ Content-Type: application/pdf; name="invoice - #017447.pdf" Content-Description: invoice - #017447.pdf Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="invoice - #017447.pdf"; size=41360; creation-date="Wed, 07 Jan 2009 12:41:12 GMT"; modification-date="Wed, 07 Jan 2009 12:32:47 GMT" Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 JVBERi0xLjMgCiXi48/TIAoxIDAgb2JqIAo8PCAKL1R5cGUgL0NhdGFsb2cgCi9QYWdlcyAyIDAg ----------- etc. However, when I right-click to save attachment, the save dialog box comes up with the name, and I click OK. When I go to the folder it was being saved to, it is not there. I also cannot double-click on the attachment, it won't give me the dialog box to open the file with the default application, nothing comes up. Closing and opening Tbird3 does not fix this. Having messages set to sync, or not to sync locally has no effect on this. However, closing Tb3 and opening TB2 does save this normally. Anyone have suggestions for further testing? I don't see anything useful in the IMAP.log.
