I reset the file handling for extension for .py to be handled by Firefox rather than be downloaded. These Python files are just plain text files - I thought that would be OK. Then when I clicked on a link to the file above, i got an infinite loop of new tabs created. I finally managed to kill firefox, and when I restarted, it started the same thing again. Eventually the Stop load button worked, and then I was able to close umpteen tabs and move ahead.
Beyond stopping the infinite loop bug, please allow Python to display plain text files. (Maybe that would take care of the bug at the same time.)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Reset file handling tfor .py to internal to Firefox
2. Go to URL above
3.
Actual Results:
apparently infinite sequence of new empty tabs
Expected Results:
display the page desired or at least say it is impossible.
