10. Thou shalt foreswear, renounce, and abjure the vile heresy which claimeth
that `All the world's a .com', and have no commerce with the benighted heathens
who cling to this barbarous belief -- that the days of thy auto-complete
algorithm's usefulness may be long, even though the days of thy current TLDs be
short.

Now now, don't be snobbish. There is a perfectly good autocomplete algorithm already, which does not assume anything about .com. This would be a useful addition for users who
know they are going to a dot com, and want to go there faster by hitting Ctrl enter. I am not an avid dot com user but even so about 50% of my browsing is to dot coms.

Summary: RFE: ctrl+enter to add www....com → RFE: ctrl enter to add www....com
I'm lowering the importance of this feature request, it isnt a blocker nor P1
although i would find it very useful

I'm not being snobbish. Just if we do this, we implicitly encourage the use of
.com for sites which don't really belong in .com-land, and encourage non-.com
(e.g. .org) sites to take the equivalent .com even when they don't need it, which
in turn reduces the number of names available in the international DNS, which in
turn forces sites to choose more obscure names, which markedly reduces the
usability of the Web as a whole. *That*'s what I care about.
See also bug 37867.
Anyways, this has nothing to do with the ActiveX wrapper. Changing component
back.
