In order to facilitate asynchronous communication about Education related activities in Mozilla, we would like to create a newsgroup for Mozilla community people, students, profs, and others getting involved in Mozilla via educational projects.
No problem here. Assigning to Dave. I know there's a sysadmin alias I should be using, but I can't remember what it is, we don't have inline autocomplete, and searching for "sysadmin" in editusers.cgi (a procedure which wouldn't be available to most Bugzilla users) doesn't turn it up. Is this a UI flaw in Bugzilla, I wonder, that it's not possible for average users to search for a particular other user? In the mean time, if you want it to be more obvious, why not make it the QA contact for this component? :-) Gerv

Anything need to happen here to get this moving again?
usenet support at Google just needs to wake up.
Actually, the group exists, but no messages in it: http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.education/topics there's been three messages posted from news.mozilla.org that haven't shown up on Google yet.
I just posted a message to the newsgroup via NNTP, and it's showed up in Google Groups. So I guess the forum is working now.
Forgive my ignorance, but do we need to do anything special to get this added to mozilla.org web sites so people can find it? I know it's there, but am having trouble finding it via the obvious (to me) routes.
When this bug is fixed, I'll file a separate bug for adding it to <http://www.mozilla.org/community/developer-forums.html>. For lists.mozilla.org, Reed will unhide it when this bug is fixed. Reed, I tried posting via NNTP and it showed up on both news.mozilla.org and Google Groups quickly. <http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.education/browse_frm/thread/80059ec42f974d47#> I tried posting via Google Groups, and it showed up on Google Groups and news.mozilla.org quickly. <news://news.mozilla.org/aac61131-3038-4c5c-a8f6-4a30e11f456c@o8g2000pre.googlegroups.com>
Google finally got it working, I guess.
