When receiving Smiley faces from others they show up as a serif capital letter J, even though Calibri is the default san serif font.  Can be reproduced by going to Character Map and copy/paste Wingdings smiley face.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to Accessories | System Tools | Character Map
2.Change font to "Wingdings" and choose smiley face #0x4A.  Select and copy
3.Paste to an open composition email in Thunderbird and see letter J
Actual Results:  
Also occurs with incoming emails when done on Eudora and Outlook

Expected Results:  
Expected a smiley face but only see a capital serif J

Reproduced smiley face as shown in character map.  Wingdings IS in my font list.  I can make the "J" change to a smiley by selecting the "J" and changing its font to Wingdings, but should show up as a smiley without the manual change
