User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011912 Firefox/3.0.6 Build Identifier: ShredderDebug 3.0b3pre I pulled changeset: 2090:81b62dba7723, and compiled it. Then, when I clicked on a link to "#" in a message (which I hope to attach), thunderbird printed the following to the gdb console: --WEBSHELL 0x1ab84450 == 6 ###!!! ASSERTION: null channel: 'channel', file ../../../mozilla/dist/include/necko/nsNetUtil.h, line 1098 Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”. and would crash, if I let it continue. I'm on IRC in #maildev as bwinton, and have GDB up and running, and would love to help track this down. (I can reliably reproduce it, so if whomever ends up with this bug wants more information, or can help me figure out what's happening/how to fix it later, that would work for me too.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. View the attached message. 2. Click on the main banner. Actual Results: ShredderDebug crashes. Expected Results: Perhaps it should have taken me to the top of the message. That's what the non-debug version of Shredder does, and it seems reasonable.
(The link that causes it is the big banner image at the top center.)
Blake did the crash reporter fire ? if so can you give us the crash ID ?

This is most likely fixed by http://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/9c3f21f04cf0 (bug 479906), can you recompile and try again?
I got latest, recompiled, tried again, and it now does the same thing as the non-debug build. Man, you people are fast. :) Thanks, Blake.

(In reply to comment #6) > I got latest, recompiled, tried again, and it now does the same thing as the > non-debug build. Man, you people are fast. :) FTR it was http://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rev/9c3f21f04cf0 that fixed it (from bug 479906).
