Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009011912 Firefox/3.0.6
Build Identifier: version 2.0.0.19 (20081209)

When setting up a filter for email addresses, there is no 'Reply-To' in the drop down list of objects to filter on.

I added a new entry as 'Reply-To' to match the object text in the email header. After setting up the filter to filter messages on the Reply-To field, it does not move any messages.

Any of the filterable object set as default work, but this one does not.

I have not tested any other custom filter objects.

This is also known to be the case when searching on that header as well.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Message Filters Dialog
2.Create a new filter
3.Select Customize from the first dropdown.
4.Add a new object named 'Reply-To' without quotes
5.select the relationship
6.Enter an email address or name you know is contained in a Reply-To field
7.Select a destination folder.
8.Save.
9.Run the new filter.
Actual Results:
Any email that has a reply-to that you are filtering on does not filter as you set it up to do. It does nothing with those emails.

Expected Results:
It should have performed the actions set up in the filter.

The search aspect was tested in Thunderbird 3 on Mac OSX 10.5 and had the same result.
2 questions:

1. Are you using POP or IMAP?
2. Does the filter fail if it's being run automatically when it gets new messages?
1.Currently I am using an IMAP Exchange server for email. I ahve not tested this on POP.

2.I have not received a new email with a reply-to since setting up the filter. I set up this filter after receiving one but I do know that more will be coming. It will be very helpful to have this set up properly.
Just ran another test. It does work when auto filtering new messages.

So that leaves the bug confined to the "Run Now" button when testing and running filters for the first time.
Custom headers and filter after the fact not working on IMAP is a known bug.
