User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090228 Minefield/3.2a1pre Ubiquity/0.1.4 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090228 Minefield/3.2a1pre Ubiquity/0.1.4 A few days ago, my Mozilla Firefox nightlies started to ignore links opened in other applications if not at least one Mozilla Firefox window is already open. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make Mozilla Firefox your default browser 2. Open Mozilla Firefox 3. Close all browser windows (Mozilla Firefox remains active in the Dock) 4. Click on a link in another application, e.g. Apple Mail Actual Results: Nothing, e.g. the clicked link is not opened in a Mozilla Firefox window Expected Results: The clicked link should be opened in a Mozilla Firefox window The problem does not occur if one or more Mozilla Firefox windows are already open, no matter whether they are empty or containing content.

This is a recent regression: OK Gecko/20090215 Minefield/3.2a1pre http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/bd35ca5e194a fails: Gecko/20090216 Minefield/3.2a1pre http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/b5359ab6a52c http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=bd35ca5e194a&tochange=b5359ab6a52c I'm not sure what may have caused this It still works fine in Gecko/20090228 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre. Only trunk is affected. Confirming and tweaking summary.

In my own debug build (updated now) this is WFM. Clicking a link in TB or using |open http://www.yahoo.com| from Terminal.app with no windows open, but Minefield running in the dock, gets me a new window and the link loaded. If you can help me try and reproduce here, I'll attempt a fix. But right now I can't see it.

You are right. With the 0308 Minefield build this is WFM at the moment. I'll do a little bit more test to be sure though.

I never figured out what exactly 'fixed' - or solve - the issue. Anyway, WFM since early March. Marking this bugs as such.
