Mail.app has a cool media browser, so that users can browse and attach photos without having to think of them in terms of "files": you can flip through your photo collection visually instead of looking at img4520013.jpg. There is a BSD licensed media browser for Mac called iMedia Browser, created by Karelia (http://www.karelia.com/imedia/). The source is available via Google Code: http://code.google.com/p/imedia/. I'm wondering if we should embed this in Thunderbird (or the platform) so that we can use it in places where the file picker makes less sense.

We aren't going to do anything imedia related. Sorry.
