User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.0.6) Gecko/2009020911 Ubuntu/8.10 (intrepid) Firefox/3.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090223 Thunderbird/3.0b2 When replying to a message, the default font used as soon as one starts typing can change to the font used to emit the "On 02/27/2009 08:51 AM, " text. For me that text is emitted using "Variable Width", my default is "sans-serif". The resultant email appears as though the font was changed mid sentence or between paragraphs. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In Preferences --> Composition --> General, select font "sans-serif" size "small" 2. Respond to an email using ctrl+'r', the cursor should be placed on the first line, below appears the "On 02/27/2009 08:51 AM, " text and quoted reply. 3. Type in a word or two, the font should be "sans-serif" 4. Hit the down arrow, and type a word notice that the font switches from "sans-serif" to "Variable Width" Actual Results: The default composition font switched from "sans-serif" to "Variable Width". Expected Results: The default composition font should be maintained for the entirety of the composition area (up to [and including?] the "On 02/27/2009 08:51 AM, " text).
