unresponsive script warning during thunderbird startup Script: chrome://messenger/content/folderPane.js:845 This occurs before master and all other password prompts. Respond with "continue" allows the startup to continue without problems happened 3 of 6 startups. I had just changed from 2009-02-23 to 2009-02-28. Need to test further to see if it's more related to build or gloda or something else. (Startup no doubt also affected by available memory - PC's memory use is 950MB used of 1GB available due to long running firefox.) memory gloda off, 160MB before pwds, 170MB after pwd ... 2 minutes later drops to 50MB gloda on, 200+MB before passwords (seems high) ... no drop after 2 minutes The following list of extensions is what I normally run without problem. I'll also test without them. just seen again using same 20090228, immediately after having rebooted - nothing else running - warning 10-15 seconds after clicking start couldn't reproduce in two more starts. ~8 seconds to start (which seems long). Tomorrow, Wednesday I will test 20090304 and the fix for Bug 481065 local folder db's opened on startup. Perhaps it will make a huge improvement. (Also couldn't reproduce with 20090303 build) Addressbooks Synchronizer 0.8.4 Bugmail 1.3 Bugzilla Link Grabber 1.0 Clippings 3.0.1 Crash Me Now! 0.1 Display Mail User Agent 1.6.0 [DISABLED] Display mailing list header 0.3.2 [DISABLED] Experimental Toolbar 1.0 [DISABLED] functions for keyconfig (Thunderbird) 1.0.4 [DISABLED] Image Zoom 0.3.1 [DISABLED] keyconfig 20080611 [DISABLED] mozPod 0.2a1 [DISABLED] MR Tech Local Install 5.3.2.1 Nightly Tester Tools 2.0.2 nntpthreads 0.1.0 [DISABLED] Palm Sync 1.9pre [DISABLED] ProfileSwitcher 0.1.3 Provider for Google Calendar 0.5.1 [DISABLED] QuoteCollapse 0.8alpha Remove Duplicate Messages 0.1.06 [DISABLED] Restart Thunderbird 0.9.1 RSS Linkify Subject 0.1 [DISABLED] Show InOut 0.5.3 [DISABLED] STEEL test extension 0.0.1 TEBE beta0 ThreadBubble 0.6 [DISABLED] ThreadKey 0.5 [DISABLED] Tools->About:Config 1.0
(In reply to comment #1) > Tomorrow, Wednesday I will test 20090304 and the fix for Bug 481065 local > folder db's opened on startup. Perhaps it will make a huge improvement. David, 20090305 build starts with ~100MB *less* memory at point of password prompts, and takes only ~2 seconds. Looks promising that Bug 481065 fixed this (regression from bug 469448 circa 2009-02-04). What's a little odd is I didn't see this closer to 2009-02-04. Will close for now as dupe.
