481160 - adress bar doesnt work correctly when i try to use it

if i click enter after entering text into the address bar nothing happens. the only way to use the address bar is either click an auto complete use google or click the arrow which can get annoying

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.enter text in address bar
2.press enter. 
Actual Results:  
nothing which is the problem

Expected Results:  
either gone to google or found a website with a similar name

just adding the google part i mentioned in expected results would be helpful

Does this occur if you make a new Firefox profile for a test?

i should have added that i am using firefox 3.1 beta 2. not sure if this is the best place.

Do you have AVG Safe Search installed ? Then it's a dupe of bug 475653

(you need to upgrade to AVG 8.5.276)

didnt know there was a 8.5 but it fixed it
