Description

The new instructions for uploading to the Maemo Extras repository involve creating a source deb and uploading it for them to rebuild.

http://wiki.maemo.org/Uploading_to_Extras

I've tried running dpkg-buildpackage after copying the installer/Makefile to debian/rules, and that finishes successfully, but the actual source deb isn't usable. Looks like we need a real debian/rules (rules.in?) and/or make deb-source target.
(cc-ing some interested parties.)

This blocks uploading fennec builds to maemo... who can best help unjam us here?
Summary: we need a debian/rules and/or make deb-source → we need a debian/rules and/or make deb-source for fennec

Its been 14 months since this last comment here - is this something we still intend to do, or should we WONTFIX this?
the discussion is mostly in bug 457307. If we get a patch to do this, I have no problem supporting it. Its just not a priority right now.
