481971 - Make editor not ugly with OS categories

In bug 480566, we're adding categories for Windows, Mac, and Linux. This means regular contributors will see 2 main categories on the left, and 9 additional categories on the right.
See attachment 364607 [details].

Right now, it looks too ugly to push to prod. We need make it look not ugly.

Note: this is not part of the article editor work for later this year. We just need this touched up, so we can add the categories and implement bug 407918.

What if we put short category names in one column and long in another and split into 3 columns (instead of 2, currently). Or sort them somehow...

We could temporarily create a third column or something simple... just to make it acceptable.
