We'd like to make the new www.mozilla.org templates available for use on other tools that want to be part of the site (for instance, the Drupal based community CRM tool). Tools to port the templates to include Wordpress, Drupal and the wiki being used for contribute.mozilla.org. There may be other tools we'd like to include in this list. Although the redesign project isn't finished yet, we can start finding people who are interested in helping out. I believe the recent work with the Mozilla Community Sites involved porting templates to a few different tools, so we could see if the people involved with that would be interested in helping with this.
For reference, the new design is currently being adapted for: * planet.mozilla.org -- Tool: Planet Venus (see bug 510417) * mozillians.org -- Tool: Drupal/CiviCRM If anyone is interested in adapting the design for Wordpress or MediaWiki (or anything else), let us know.
MediaWiki is done as a part of contribute.mozilla.org update - http://hg.mozilla.org/www/contribute.mozilla.org/ (the contribute.mozilla.org is not yet ready due to required update to CMS specific extension, but the theme is ready to use!)
Re #2, Gandalf, that's great news. Is there a staging area to take a look at things?
The staging area doesn't seem to be working. Timing out for me. I'd like to do the theme port to Wordpress if someone else hasn't already started.
I've been unable to get to the contribute.mozilla.org staging server mentioned in comment #4 as well. gandalf, let us know when we can take a look at things there. Emmanuel, I think the Wordpress port is all yours if you want it :)
Closing old Mozilla.org website bugs due to them not being relevant to the new Python-based Bedrock system. Re-open if this is a critical bug and should be resolved on the new system too.

Absolutely unrelated to any Bedrock system.

The One Mozilla theme developed for Bedrock is called "Sand Stone" and this is site template that website standard for existing and new Mozilla website. The One Mozilla theme has been adapted to a variety of platforms including Wordpress. The Wordpress One Mozilla theme is located here: https://github.com/mozilla/One-Mozilla-blog Tabzilla is located here: https://github.com/mozilla/tabzilla The One Mozilla theme will be adapted to the wiki and other legacy template website. The One Mozilla theme is currently embedded into Bedrock/Django and will be extracted for other site uses and for the community for in an upcoming revision of the brand tool kit: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/brand/ The contribute.mozilla.org page referenced above is now on Bedrock and using the One Mozilla sand stone template. It will include all of the HTML, CSS, JS, and images to use.

Great! It'd be nice to see it adapted to the wiki (as you say later), planet.mozilla.org, and mozillians.org in addition to Wordpress. That'd cover most of what this bug is about. > The contribute.mozilla.org page referenced above is now on Bedrock and using > the One Mozilla sand stone template. It will include all of the HTML, CSS, > JS, and images to use. Actually, the contribute.mozilla.org page referenced above no longer exists. It was based on MediaWiki, as I recall. That domain now just redirects to mozilla.org proper. (Is that page "Sand Stone"? I've been wondering what all these things you're talking about are since they don't appear to be discussed on the wiki page that used to cover mozilla.org.[1]) [1] https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla.org
