When I send an email, it won't put a copy in my sent box. Of the last that it did retain, it has kept the header information, but there is no evidence of the text of the body of the email. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.I send an email and nothing goes to the sent folder. 2. 3. Actual Results: I've rebooted and tried to find any of the *.msp files but none exist.

Hi joseph, What version of Thunderbird are you using ? Are you using a pop3 mailbox or a imap mailbox ?

I'm using Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 and my mailbox is a POP mailbox. Does this help?

There are a lot of comments in the Error Console. I don't understand most of them, but here is one that is most common: Error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80550006 [nsIMsgFolder.getMessages]" nsresult: "0x80550006 (<unknown>)" location: "JS frame :: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Thunderbird/components/GoogleDesktopMozillaStub.js :: anonymous :: line 159" data: no] Source File: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Thunderbird/components/GoogleDesktopMozillaStub.js Line: 159

(In reply to comment #7) > can you tweak google desktop and uninstall it - see if it help to not have > google desktop instelled ? I uninstalled and tested the email. The uninstall did not help. It still doesn't maintain the content of my sent emails.

Joe, what results, separately, from each of the following: * reindex sent folder (r-click|properties|reindex), send * change sent to some other location (account settings|copies&folders|place copy in|other - make sure you use other, not sent), send

Wayne: Your second point worked. I created a new "sent" folder, creatively titled "New Sent" and routed my sent emails over to there. The reindex did not work on the old Sent folder for some reason. Many thanks! Joe
