This is the notation for interface translation that shows you can translate that string.
(In reply to comment #2) > This is the notation for interface translation that shows you can translate > that string. I thought it was only supposed to show up when you're logged in, though?
I don't get it unless I'm logged in... may be memcache screwing up again?
This is most probably a dupe of bug 437656, which is resolved as WORKSFORME. Reopen that perhaps? Can this be reproduced?
Can we get some URLs for this Krupa? Need to reproduce :)
Paul, steps to reproduce: 1.Click on "Clearing Private data" link in the home page 2.In SHOWFOR, your OS is highlighted(eg:Windows) 3.Change it to Linux. 4.Refresh the page observed behavior: interface translation symbol is seen when not logged in. Reproducibility:sometimes I was unable to reproduce using the same steps today morning. I will spend some time, figuring out the exact steps.
I'll try to play around and see if I can reproduce it consistently. Might be to do with the cache and rare. Maybe we should ask users if they ran across it, if we can't reproduce it?
I can confirm this issue, although it happens sometimes and I cannot provide sure steps to reproduce it.
See also bug 452680, where I commented on how to reproduce: 1. Load http://support-stage.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Other+Firefox+support while logged out. 2. Click "Log in" You'll see the rings.
I was able to reproduce the bug with steps specified in comment 11.Thanks,Stephen!
is stage cached?
(In reply to comment #13) > is stage cached? Yes, staging is cached via our Citrix NetScalers
I'm 99.9% sure this is caching related since it doesn't happen now and it doesn't happen on sumotools: http://dm-sumotools01.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Other+Firefox+support which isn't cached. It may be the same thing as what happened a couple days ago when it somehow cached the Admin toolbox on a page and you could get the panel even if you were locked out.
Still see the bubbles myself on https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-login_scr.php which I'm not sure how it would cache. I'm getting them on any page that ends in .php really, https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-my_tiki.php#content_forum and https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-user_watches.php as well
and here's one that you don't need to be logged in to see https://support-stage.mozilla.org/tiki-listpages.php?locale=en-US
I was able to reproduce this locally. I don't know how I did, though. I do know, however, that it can be cleared up by emptying the smarty cache/compiled directory, webroot/templates_c/. Then, after memcache refreshes, the bubbles/circles/degree signs will stop appearing. Well, that seems to be the case locally, at least.
no interface translator anymore
