Create search-folder and grouping by sort based on date for obtain groups today, yesterday, last week etc. Expand all groups and move focus on other folder (e.g. Inbox). When return on search-folder all groups are collapsed.

With my latest nightlies when I do the steps outlined above, I still get one group opened - the others are colapsed for sure.

I think this is another bug than #387098.
The bug #387098 for me is only related to lightning.
This new bug is related to thunderbird and has target saved search folders that dont remember expanded\collapsed status. Attached file for sample.

In others words, normal folder (e.g. InBox, etc etc) remember expanded\collapsed status, saved search folder not remember.

Why do you think it is related to lightning more than just thunderbird ?

#387098 is related to lightning 0.5 and TB 2, not in TB3.

In effect with TB3 and without lightning I have that the normal folder (Inbox, sent, ...) work fine but "saved search" folder not saved expanded\collapsed status.
