From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.72 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.14-5.0 i686) BuildID: I do not see it in M17 If you click on the DOWNLOAD button on RH site ( or elswhere ) you get into dialog box the file with extension ".exe". Yes I know, I can overwrite it... but.. it does not make sense. Mozilla should KEEP the file extension it finds.... in my particular case it should stay ".rpm". NETSCAPE4.72 does the job corectly !! PLEASE see attached GIF files too Thanks Igor Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to http://www.redhat.com/apps/download/results.html?search:query_cb=Networking&search:fields=group&search:go=1&search:source=rpm 2.click on the "download" link 3.read the default value in the dialog box Actual Results: The file, which is saved, is saved with the extension ".exe" instead with the extension ".rpm" Expected Results: M17 should save the file with the corect extension. There is nothing special to add. This bug is just anoying... that is all. oops.. yes... there is a workaround for this bug... I can enter into the dialog box the corect extension... But... it does not make any sense... M17 should be smart enough to find out the "right" extension.

In mac builds, overwriting is ignored somehow, and download stops in the middle. I could not find a bug report for this Mac problem. So, I will file a new one. Can you change the OS to All?
There's already a bug about this problem (.rpm -> .exe), I'm not sure what the number is, though, and I can't find it. That bug is OS=all, for sure. I just wish I could find it...
I found it. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 50420 ***
