User-Agent: Opera/9.64 (X11; Linux x86_64; U; en) Presto/2.1.1 Build Identifier: I wanted to download thunderbird 3.0b2, but I did not find version that runs on my system. The linux download contains files only for x86 architecture, however I have x86_64 system. While x86 apps should usually work on x86_64, it is often not the case, as you need various libraries also in 32bit and there are often trouble with that. The download page when clicked on linux download link just offered x86 version - http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/early_releases/downloads/ The stable version - http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/all.html - suffers from the same problem I think mozilla should offer also x86_64 linux builds, as most computers sold today have x86_64 architecture. Reproducible: Always
See bug 486710 on introduction of 64-bit nightly test builds, where your request is for release builds. So far, x86_64 release versions are available as contributed builds, or from your distribution's repository. Some distributions also package beta versions (e.g., openSUSE build service).
Fedora Core provides and Ubuntu provides too ...
