Using a fresh profile and fresh install from 8/14/00.

If I visit expedia.msn.com and enter a quick flight search (you'll see the table
in the middle of the screen to fill out), I get an error:

"Cookies are disabled on your browser. Please enable cookies to continue with
the search."

When I look at my cookies settings, it says that cookies ARE enabled everywhere.

This happens only on the Mac. Linux and windows go through the site just fine.

Scott, can you visit other sites that use cookies? Can you see any
expedia.msn.com cookies in the cookie viewer?

Do you have any sniffer software on the mac so that you can capture network
traffic when this failure occurs? That would help determine if it is a cookie
problem or a network problem.

mscott, do you have any answers to the questions I asked above?
tever, can you confirm that cookies don't work on the mac and/or can you provide
answers to any of my questions.
interesting...when i went to preferences and clicked on view cookies I crashed
on the Mac. I filed a talk back report and put a comment saying as such.

I didn't have a up to date mac debug handy to investigate further.

I'm about to go away for a couple days so I won't have more info until I get back.
It's been over a week since I asked for more info on this. I have not yet
received either any more details from the reporter (mscott) or any confirmation
from q/a (tever). If I don't get details or confirmation by tomorrow, I'm going
to assume that this bug is no longer occuring and close it out.
I am not seeing the 'cookies are disabled ..." screen described in the initial
report. But after searching, I am seeing an expedia page with a few lines of
http at the top. There is a 'Set-Cookie' command in the http. Not sure if it's
related yet. Same results for Mac OS8.6, Linux, and Win NT (8/23 builds).
oh yeah, I am seeing expedia cookies set using cookie viewer.
Based on tever's comments I am marking this as works-for-me. If anyone is still
seeing the problem, please reopen.
