Build ID: 2000081508 Platforms: WinNT 4.0 and Linux (Slackware 7.0 / Mandrake 7.1) Steps to reproduce: 1. Click on a news: url on a server that you currently have not set up(*). e.g. news://news.mozilla.org/netscape.test (because of bug 46408 click Cancel on the account wizard dialog) 2. Goto Mail News account preferences. 3. Look at the details for the news server you have added. 4. Notice that the default is to send messages as HTML. What's expected: Postings to news servers should default to send messages as plain text (they do when created with the account wizard manually). The Compose Message as HTML box should be unchecked. What happens: The Compose Message as HTML box is checked. Note: I remember seeing this happen once before bug 46408 started occuring. So although we need bug 46408 fixed first this bug is unlikely to be related.
