Just starting a bug to get Jeremy Hiatt (Mozilla's summer '09 intern) Hg access. He will need access to various parts of the project where communication on experimental pieces of our code really takes place in the Hg repo. It makes total sense to do this in a very limited way, but we don't have an "incubator style" account.
Jeremy, provided we get final approval in this bug, you will need to sign an Hg committer agreement, which Erica manages.
Let me start the process by officially vouching for Jeremy and asking Pike to do the same to move the process forward.

I'm vouching for Jeremy to have incubator-style access, too.
user repos will be good enough, but I'll need a place to collaborate on on l20n stuff, and possibly gandalf with silme. Both of which are only living in user repos right now anyway.

http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/committer/committers-agreement.pdf is the agreeement - Jeremy can fill it out and return it to Erica when he starts. Please make sure to reference the bug number on the form so she can find it more quickly.

If these things are real projects, can we move them to real repos instead of user repos?

Are you waiting for an answer to this question to give jhiatt access? His work relies on access, but because he is a new contributor, we were trying to suggest some type of limited access to the projects that are experimental.
But, his work is being impeded by not having Hg access.

Just chatted with Reed. Can we move *anything* that Jeremy is working on into a more official Hg project repo? If I understood it correctly, it wouldn't require any specific policy change with respect to access to user repos and we could give jhiatt access for whatever we make an official hg repo.
Axel, ping?

I think we need to give jhiatt normal Hg access. He's contributing to Silme and cannot push changes to Gandalf's Hg repo. According to Gandalf, anyone with an hg account can push to his repo. I don't know specifically if this is a user repo or if Silme has a project repo. Regardless, it seems like we are preventing jhiatt from progressing.

Seth: Not sure what the status is here, but http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/incubator-repository.html outlines requirements for incubator access and
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Commit_Policy:Current_Procedures has the list of requirements for HG access. If there is a repository for what he needs to check into, I would say have that person vouch (gandalf?) and we should be good to go.

Seth: Does Jeremy still need access to an incubator repository or regular HG access? Just trying to figure out what the status of this bug is.

Regular Hg status would be nice. He continues to contribute after his internship on l20n. Pike and Gandalf should vouch as well since they are working with him directly. I am not sure if it makes sense right now or not to give him access. Pike/Gandalf, any comment?

I definitely can vouch for Jeremy.

For what non-user repo are you vouching Jeremy?
Component: Account Request: Hg → Repository Account Requests
QA Contact: hg-acct-req → repo-acct-req

Looks like this is irrelevant now since the internship ended... resolving accordingly.
