Build Identifier: 3.0b2 (Fedora 11)
I use an SSH tunnel to get to the Red Hat NNTP server, and have an account set up in Thunderbird to use port 8119. When I select a subscribed group from this account, it opens just fine, and is up to date with new messages. I can check different groups just fine. But if I actually try to read one of the messages, I get a modal dialog saying
"The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost:119."
At this point, Thunderbird has created a duplicate account which uses port 119, and tries to use that one instead of the one I have selected. At this point, trying to select a different group pops up a dialog box asking me if I want to subscribe to this group, even though I was just looking at it a minute ago.
This bug makes it impossible for me to read this account with 3.0b2.
Reproducible: Always
