User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070206 Firefox/3.0.1 If you click a bookmark on the toolbar, and then quickly click on another bookmark so a new request is sent before the first response is received, then the original bookmark icon changes to the favicon of the new page. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a bookmark (A) to www.google.co.uk on the toolbar. 2. Create a bookmark (B) to www.google.co.uk/analytics on the toolbar. 3. Ensure that both icons show correctly. 4. Clear the cache. 5. Click on B and then quickly click A. Actual Results: The icon for www.google.co.uk shows on both bookmarks. Expected Results: The bookmark for B should not have changed.
Can you please update to Firefox 3.5 and see if the issue happens there in Firefox Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
Version: unspecified → 3.0 Branch
Yes, the problem persists in Firefox 3.5 Safe mode. Reproduced as described.
Version: 3.0 Branch → 3.5 Branch
I can confirm very similar though slightly more extensive: When browsing normally the first favicon in the bookmark toolbar changes to the site you are currently or last on. It does not happen every time, I am monitoring for patterns. Yahoo's Y favicon has changed to Google, Wikipedia, etc. and returned back on it's own during normal navigation on another tab.
