Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1pre) Gecko/20090713 Shredder/3.0b3pre Add On Manager -> Extensions -> Install button. Select an XPI with the filepicker. Nothing happens. Look in the error console to see: Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Factory not registered" nsresult: "0x80040154 (NS_ERROR_FACTORY_NOT_REGISTERED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.js :: installExtension :: line 2832" data: no] I saw this over the weekend, and now it seems to always be happening for me. If it's actually a rare circumstance and I'm just the victim of bad luck or really weird machine configuration, it might not block b3. But until we have reason to believe that's true, I think we need to block. Adding qawanted in the hopes of getting other testers to take a swing at this on various platforms.

Fresh profile : Ok; Dmose care to share which extension you tried to install over the week-end - it might have borked something.

Ludo, it was Standard8's Jetpack port, but I ran into the error the first time I attempted to install it, so I don't think that itself is likely to be at fault. Now I can't reproduce it either, in debug or release builds. Removing from the blocking list entirely until either I start seeing it again and debug it, or we believe that someone other than me is seeing it, or we get steps to reproduce.
