Hi Junior, as I said to you some days ago, I think it's better to focus on 3.6, as it will be released in a few months, yay! Anyway, some things that, for me, are strange: In branding/brand.dtd you have this line: <!-- LOCALIZATION NOTE (releaseBaseURL): The about: page appends __MOZ_APP_VERSION__.html, e.g. 2.0.html --> <!ENTITY releaseBaseURL "http://www.mozilla.org/projects/shiretoko/releases/"> But I couldn't find it on any localization (for example, es-ES: http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n-mozilla-1.9.1/es-ES/file/tip/other-licenses/branding/firefox/brand.dtd ) and branding/brand.properties lacks of entities: http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n-mozilla-1.9.1/es-ES/file/tip/other-licenses/branding/firefox/brand.properties Are you using compare-locales ( https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Compare-locales ) to check if you have all entities translated? Regards!
Hi Willyaranda, thank you for your observations... I've used the Narro tool for the translation, and in Narro do not show those observatios what you say. I will analyze it with compare-locales. regards.

Those are the result of the Mozilla build process used to create the xpis. The branding files present in l10n/xx are ignored afaik. I'm attaching the Firefox 3.6 translation (Mercurial structure) that Junior has on https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro .

Thanks Alexandru!! The output from compare-locales is: willyMacBook:1.9.2 willyaranda$ compare-locales mozilla-1.9.2/browser/locales/l10n.ini . es-BO es-BO browser/chrome branding brand.dtd // remove this file brand.properties // remove this file browser aboutRights.dtd // remove this file aboutRights.properties // remove this file metaData.dtd // remove this file metaData.properties // remove this file toolkit/chrome/global/history/history.properties // remove this file es-BO: keys: 937 unchanged: 658 changed: 4532 87% of entries changed So there is no untranslated strings (just should be removed those files), and we are in string freeze for 3.6 (or am I wrong?), so I'm going to review the translation (not really deep because I'm not from Bolivia) and see if there are ortographical errors. Good work Junior!

Just a quick question Junior, are you using the formal way of "Usted" or the informal "Tú"? Because I have seen on: aboutCertError.dtd: <!ENTITY certerror.introPara1 "Ha pedido a &brandShortName; que … which is a form of "Usted" and in the same file: <!ENTITY certerror.whatShouldIDo.content "Si acostumbras a entrar… which is "Tú" For reference, for es-ES we are using always "Usted" for the translation of the software *but* using "Tú" when translating webpages or online help.
We will use the formal type "Usted", I will correct it. Now I am working in the Firefox 3.6 version. Regards.

Localization es-BO
Sorry for the lag here.
We really need a source to get our machinery going, thus putting an r- on the langpack here.

Junior: are you interested in having the Bolivian language pack be part of the official set of Firefox language packs? If so, you will need to do what Axel says in comment 11, and provide the source files. Gerv

Junior, you need to attach here the zip/tar.gz file you get in Narro on the export page, not the xpi you use for testing. Just do an export in Narro, download what's given there and attach it here.

On the export page. Go to project list, follow the manage link next to the project you want and do an export from there. When the export is finished you'll get a download link to sources. The XPI is on the project list because it's publicly available to anyone.

Do we have any news about this? I know they are working hard to have a common base for es-BO, es-CO, es-VE and es-PE. Maybe we should create a parent bug for all the localizations and then 4 dependants for each locale. Keep in mind that the strings will be the same and they will only change (if needed) the search engines and the default dynamic bookmark.

I haven't replied to the emailthread but Istill think it's the way to go

Now that the parent bug for this 4 locales has been created, maybe we should keep this one just with the bookmarks and search engine changes for Bolivia and move the attachment with the strings to bug 688120

Clearing review request because Bugzilla thinks I'm asking for it, and it keeps showing up in my queue.
Junior, please flag Axel for review again if you're actually needing his review.

Actually we are working in a common localization, so the es-BO localization has been stoped while we are working in that common localization (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=688120).

This locale registration bug is being resolved as INCOMPLETE because it has not been updated since before the final Firefox 10esr release on 2013-01-08. It is assumed that there has not been any progress in developing the desired localization since that time. If you feel this bug has been closed in error, please reopen it and provide a status update for your locale. In addition, please be sure to follow the guidelines listed on the wiki for creating a new localization: https://wiki.mozilla.org/L10n:Starting_a_localization [Mass change filter: l10n-new-incomplete-fx10esr]
