User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 It's possible to rearrange the tabs in a browser window by using drag and drop, but when you have many tabs you often cannot see both the tab you want to drag and the position where you want to drop it. However there is the "List all tabs" dropdown menu. It should be possible to drag a tab from that list to a positions visible in the tab bar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open more tabs than will fit across your browser window 2. Click on the "List all tabs" icon at the right of the tab bar 3. Press the left mouse button on any entry in the tab list and while holding it down move the mouse to a position in the horizontal tab bar Actual Results: The tab list item from where you initiated the drag merely becomes deselected Expected Results: 1. The favicon or page titles should move with the mouse from the dropdown list 2. The small arrow should appear between the two closest tabs in tab bar to indicate drop position 3. The tab indicated by the dropdown list item should move to the position indicated by the small arrow and become the visible and active tab
I would like to have this too, but in addition to being able to drag the tab to the tab bar, it should be possible to drag the tab to another location in the tab list itself in order to re-order tabs in the tab list and the tab bar.

Dragging works in the current release version of Firefox for me. This can be closed as worksforme.
