Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090716 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Shiretoko/3.5.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090716 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Shiretoko/3.5.1 With the time, Firefox history and favorites keep growing. Because of that, Firefox starts to become slow and bloated (Awesome Bar becomes a tragedy). The only way to solve that is to run: $ sqlite3 FILES_OF_PROFILE.sqlite vacuum To all files in the user profile (I use a shell script with a loop, of course). Why that cleanup isn't automatic? The performance of the browser degradates with time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use firefox for some months, without cleaning history 2. Just open the browser or try to use Awesome Bar Actual Results: The browser is slow and unresposible. Expected Results: Fast browser.
