From: "freshmeat.net" <noreply@freshmeat.net> 2. From: freshmeat.net <noreply@freshmeat.net> 3. From: "Raoul \"Maharaja\" Bhatia" <i.am@god.com> thunderbird displays these 3 messages the following way. (from memory, not verified using *this* very examples): 1. freshmeat.net 2. freshmeat.net 3. Raoul "Maharaja" Bhatia searching for (no matter if using quick-search or the dedicated search window): a. searching for the char " gives 1. and 3. as a result b. searching for the two chars \" gives 3. as a result i would normally expect, that the search is consistent with the data displayed in the columns. this a. should return 3., and b. should return *nothing* Reproducible: Always

Raoul how do you like the new search regarding this issue (the one that is in Thunderbird 3.0b4) ? Does it makes searching easier ?

i am using
> Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); de-DE; rv:1.9.1.5pre) Gecko/20091026 Shredder/3.0pre
and still see the described behavior - and i still find it irritating :)
as a side note, "search all messages" does not work if i want to search for '"'.
shall i search (or open) another bugreport regarding this?
