The issue from Bug 496170, has reappeared for users logged in and using a new version--like a nightly--of Firefox.
To reproduce, enter preview AMO with a Firefox trunk nightly, log in, and view recommended add-ons.

Verified Fixed. Ideally, I would like to know which commit fixed it, but it's really not that important at this point...
