+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #500304 +++ Firefox is about to turn on chrome JIT by default (it's just been turned on, on the TM branch), we should consider doing so too.

The preference flip is done in a core file and we don't override it specifically. We'll pick it up automatically for whichever branches decide to use that pref. Therefore nothing to do here, though might just be worth a short post to mdat when it happens for whichever branches so that QA & devs are aware.
