Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090717 Fedora/3.5.1-3.fc12 Firefox/3.5.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.19) Gecko/20090105 Fedora/2.0.0.19-1.fc10 Thunderbird/2.0.0.19 Mnenhy/0.7.5.666
With the Thunderbird currently in Fedora Rawhide (3.0-3.6.b3.fc12), when I click and hold a message and try to drag it into a folder, the folder that gets highlighted in the folder list is seven or eight folders higher than where my mouse is actually pointing.
When I let go of the mouse button, the message drops into the highlighted folder, not the folder that the mouse is over.
This is sufficiently annoying that I'm willing to attempt to debug it myself. I downloaded the Thunderbird SRPM from Fedora and started to peruse the source, but there's just so much code there that I wasn't able to figure out where to start looking.
If someone with more familiarity with the code base were to point me in the right direction, I might be able to take a look.
Thanks.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Click and hold the mouse button on a message in the message list. Drag it over the folder list and move down the folder list with your mouse.
Actual Results:
Highlighted folder doesn't match up with where mouse is.
Expected Results:
Highlighted folder should be the one under the mouse.

I should have mentioned that when I first saw this problem start happening, I had *not* updated thunderbird recently, whereas several components of the X server had just been updated. I therefore suspected that it might be an X server problem rather than a thunderbird problem, but the problem with that theory is that I'm not seeing anything like it in any other X applications.

I don't see this with TB3 b3 on Ubuntu 9.04...

Problem disappeared on its own from Fedora Rawhide. Don't know what caused it and don't know what fixed it, but it's gone now.
