(Whiteboard: closeme 2009-10-23)
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1 Build Identifier: Version 2.0.0.22 (20090605) In 'Accounts' setting both e-mail and reply adress to: joerg.giencke@jgid.de (Jörg Giencke) results in: A) From: Jörg Giencke <""joerg.giencke\"@jgid.de (Jörg Giencke)"> and B) *NO* 'Reply-To:' created in the message source. A message like that is treated as spam by most spam filters and silently deleted with neither sender nor receipient recognising the problem. So - indirectly - data is lost. This has caused serious trouble to us. Reproducible: Always

(In reply to comment #0) > Build Identifier: Version 2.0.0.22 (20090605) > In 'Accounts' setting both e-mail and reply adress to: > joerg.giencke@jgid.de (Jörg Giencke) > results in: > A) From: Jörg Giencke <""joerg.giencke\"@jgid.de (Jörg Giencke)"> > and > B) *NO* 'Reply-To:' created > in the message source. Unable to reproduce with Tb 2.0.0.23 on Japanese MS Win-XP SP3(locale=ja, system charset=Shift_JIS, default composition charser=ISO-8859-1 is used) Tb 2.0.0.23 generated next header by "Compoase" and "Send Later" correctly. From: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?J=F6rg_Giencke?= <joerg.giencke@jgid.de> > B) *NO* 'Reply-To:' created "Reply-To:" fields was not prefiled by Tb upon composition? > In 'Accounts' setting both e-mail and reply adress to: > joerg.giencke@jgid.de (Jörg Giencke) Did you set it via Tb's Account Manager UI? Or edited prefs.js? Or set them using add-on(extension)? What is set in next entries? (Check via Config Editor) mail.identity.idX.fullName = Jörg Giencke mail.identity.idX.reply_to = joerg.giencke@jgid.de mail.identity.idX.useremail = joerg.giencke@jgid.de Does it mean you typed or pasted "joerg.giencke@jgid.de (Jörg Giencke)" in mail address field of account setting? > i.e. mail.identity.idX.useremail = joerg.giencke@jgid.de (Jörg Giencke) What is your default character encoding setting for mail composition(outgoing mail)?
