User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090803 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.5.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.2) Gecko/20090803 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.5.1 With the upcoming bugfix release 4.3.1 (which will be released one month after KDE 4.3) the KDE feedreader akregator can be used with Firefox. See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=127322#c6 Please add be aware that KDE is multiplattform now, so Akregator can be added as a reader not only on Linux, but also on other platforms. Reproducible: Always
Why ? You can already choose any external RSS treader that you like. The ones currently in the list (Bloglines, My Yahoo and Google) are not external readers, but websites.
Why? Because it will be easier to handle for the average user. For power users it may be easy. But for the average user not. I help a lot of my friends with their Linux installation and most of them wont be able to find the location of their feedreader. A list of apps would help.
